Yeap, the track closer to the main road is towards Bukit Batok (SB)

it will be upgraded to become 5 levels. the internal space will also be redesigned to maximise its use. so it will hold an olympic sized skating rink on level 3 or 4 and cinema on level 5.

BiminiRosy: yeah they are preparing making way for the level 5 I guess...
Bus and Train LoVuR: according to CapitaLand's powerpoint on the asset enhancement, it is supposed to take one year from 08 to end 09. but now that it is pushed back a year, I dont know if they are sticking to the same schedule.

I think it's because they started the construction late.

yup, but I am not sure if they will follow the same schedule and complete by late 2010 (since its scheduled for a one year completion)
By the way, I got a question. Is it possible that future Eastbound trains in Jurong East will open the doors in both sides like the current NS line?

Yes, they will.

No, sorry no. The schedule was to be done by 2012 and it has already brought forward to 2011.

note that the discussion was on Jurong Entertainment Centre thanks.
Jurong East Int is crowded even at off-peak hours, going down to the concourse and going up again sounds very complicated.
Some updates on JEMP:
Any Updates On The JEMP?

no photos here but I will share what I recall.
all pillars NB after the crossover you see above are completed. those SB from the crossover (along Jurong East Central) are being filled. quite a few are done already with only 3 or 4 left.
progress on the new segment of the station is coming along smoothly. the new platform and the concourse below now run about three quarters of the entire station length.
small sections of new tracks were lifted recently for those pillars running above Jurong East Bus Interchange.
I wonder how issit possible for the new viaducts and tracks to be connected to the existing ones while train service is still in operation.

well, that's the challenge present there. the tracks can only be done after operating hours, which means it has only 1am to 5am for the works daily. also, they have to consider the noise level, since there are so many HDB blocks just beside the construction area.

They can do it after the train service has ended. The can prepared it first then after they remove the old track and put the new track on it. My guess only.
at this rate they are building are u sure they will finish in 2011? more likely in 2010
