This disruption makes us know that the Mass Rapid Transit is very impt

For some trains in NSL only.
Well this JEMP exercise of the disruption,
1. EWL trains are the same trains ytd and today
2. NSL trains have better variety, as NSL trains supplement are fully under BSD
3. EWL Trains Move in RM in different direction, and can be quite slow
015/016 and 115/116 conduct ONP at Chinese Garden?
Or ALL platform B trains returned to Ulu Pandan Depot yesterday since it is not affected by JEMP I think.

Fish ---- I failed to board DNB @ Clementi thanks to one *uc*ing old man pax. Make me got regret in my life for not able to take such exclusive trains!!! (I am gonna make sure I board a CCK bound train in CCK)
Well, I got a pic on funny shuttle train sticker, an exclusive red light thingy is my today's only reward for joyriding. No -- I did not managed to record announcements, there are things like "This train service terminates at Clementi / Jurong East / Lakeside" thingy with some difference. Oh well, by City Hall station (WB), it is like Raffles Place (City Hall Interchange ..... City Hall Interchange..... for 343/344, which is the train I board to CLE.)
Before City Hall, indeed there is an announcement of Passengers who are continuing their journey towards Bukit Batok, please alight at City Hall interchange and transfer to North South Line.
There you go the image (I intended to snap on TO cabin from side view in Joo Koon, who knows the TO come up and question me.... I was shocked and deleted [due to a shake while phtographing, quality sucks] before he sees it despite he warned me that he can charged me for it:
Exclusive shuttle train sticker:
"Exclusive" Red flags (The red circle thing is actually flashing, just like road works but in yellow for that):
Update: Just like some forumers said that is not so exclusive but since when did I see such thing on say Pasir Ris or Joo Koon?
The flags are not exclusive or something out of the norm.
It is widely used around the world, in the railway systems. These flags are very important for the station master and also the drivers.
Its one of the most important things in railway signalling.
Just like F1. The flags are universally used,
Had Heard a train Play The Wrong Announcement. Go Play Bukit Batok Affected announcement.
Got one More Funny at Boon Lay, TO go play: Outram Park Interchange.
den Station master go walk to the TO Cabin *Knock* Hello TO, Station master here.
*TO Opens Door* Station master says: Wrong Station Announcement. U played Outram Park Int announcement. Should be Boon Lay. Den TO Quickly announce over the Speaker "Boon Lay Interchange" rofl since when Boon lay is an interchange? Bus interchange he mean?

Since SMRT is electronics oriented, all they got to do is to wait for codes and follow the signal lights.
In the real railway application, flags are widely used.
In this case, the flags are placed there to remind drivers (TO in this case) that the section after that is a no-entry zone. In layman terms, they cannot go over due to works or derailments or rail fractures or anything that prohibits train movements.
Pasir Ris and Joo Koon are terminus. So, it's of no use to put the flags there. Even if they proceed on further, there is a yellow buffer stop that will prevent the train from proceeding. If the train proceeds, the buffer will stop the train, and causing it to derail and suffer minimum impact (if the train is slow)
As Jurong East has no buffer stops, flags are used to warn the drivers about it.

Indeed.
Just to add on.
In Japanese systems these are called 'Temporary Signal Machines' (臨時信機) in which its not a machine, but just a board or flag in this case to denote temporary speed limitations (yellow triangle with speed limit below it), denote clearance from temporary speed limit (a green circle with white border) and other scenarios that do not require a regular signaling machine.
For station staff flags, the most commonly used are green and red, one to proceed and one to stop. Staff at Jurong East and other stations use yellow, one color to denote clearance in caution (for Japan side, whether SMRT is the same depends) as well.
Another method is to use handheld lights to swing or flash to denote different signals for use in door clearance.
