The shelter linkway beside the toilet is closed on 12/5 aftnn for constructing the new track but link to the lift from level 1 still can use.
The temporary linkway w/ramp beside Popular is opened for use.
any pics, cuz i see them cordon on most areas, the contractor doing JEMP is the same as BLE.... and BLE office construction site is still there as well

The new lots are being used now, the area of last 2 rows lots near EB track are fenced up for construction of new pillars of tracks connector.

new lots are reserved for causeway link, SBST HGDEP TRG and overnight parking buses.
Jurong East Central parallel to NSL Track has been realigned and a bus stop before Boon Lay Way has been shifted.

Off Service buses also,
For building new SB tracks from new platform, Jurong East St 12/Summit Lane also undergoing major realignment, whether how those end on berths buses move out to St 13...

got some pillars are up at some location..
i got saw it while i'm in the train toward east.. will take and upload pctures tmr =)
Are they are building new tracks on both left and right sides of the current track? Cos they realigned the roads and took up one lane of it. ....

just beside eastbound tracks =)
No, as in, northbound tracks? they block away 1 lane of road and the other side of the pavement where ppl used to walk ...

both the northbound and southbound tracks need access to the new platform, so I guess they fenced out the extra space towards the road so they can build the connection to the tracks leading to bukit batok as well.
just my two cents.

They should seperate the two lines, then do a linkway to both the platforms. The current middle platform will be the middle platform for terminating at Jurong East. Then can do crossover :)
EWL + NSL SEPERATE

I think you guys got a wrong idea of how the platform would be like when it's done. Allow me to explain
Current:
EWL(Eastbound)
_______________
NSL
_______________
EWL (Westbound)
When Completed:
NSL
_______________
EWL(Eastbound)
_______________
NSL
_______________
EWL (Westbound)
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong anywhere.

agreed.
then the NSL will have two additional track to the new platform (of course merged into one at the new platform), one directly split from the east track (from bukit batok direction), another have to cross on top of the existing NSL, then merge with the west track (to bukit batok direction), the cross will be at somewhere the existing track intersect with boon lay way
guess they've built up a green shell outside blk 204, is it becoz the new track is too near to the HDB block?

It's a temp shelter to prevent any debries from falling on the track/trains while building a new SB track from new platform over the current track?
it will look a-bit confusing for me? i mean why not juz like city hall and raffles place?
Because of technical constraint. The upgrading work must not affect the normal operation of the train during the construction period. If they were to built the station like City Hall or Raffles Place, then there would be two problem;
-One of the track will have to demolished and it's track realigned
-Jurong East station is already quite tall. Adding an additional storey pair of tracks will be a engineering challenge itself.
Beside, the above two points would mean that train operations will be compromised during the construction period, which goes against what I've said earlier.

Ok. They are going to make a new platform. That would mean already an engineering challenge.
i think instead of an engineering challenge, the tilted pillar at the junction is going to fall off at some point.what are the green tunnel thing at nsl at ns2-ns1 anyway?
IMO, they will be adding another track over it ???? ????

It's a temp shelter to prevent any debries from falling on the track/trains while building a new SB track connecting to current SB track.
Such temp shelter is also use while constructing Dover MRT Stn?
The new platform is actually at the Boon Lay Way side. Should be more of occupying JE St12

Technical constraint
St 12 or St 13?
As of Saturday, the pillars for the new track are all up, but do not look complete yet.
The covers (to prevent debris from falling onto the tracks/train) on the track has now been extended to the SB track as well.

The pillar near the MRT entrance still not up.
The base of the new section is being constructed.
