If you were to see a glass roof + this red triangle roof, won't people complain, saying: Why this Jurong East the station one side this roof, the other side that roof, so ugly.
If you were to say to replace the whole roof, won't SMRT complain, saying: It's too expensive having to replace the old roofs.
If you were to say to just continue as planned: Everybody will be happy, only a handsome of people won't be, just like Distance Fares.

Personally I feel that the red triangle is an iconic to Jurong East, so keep it would be better. Glass roof? U think this Dover ah?

LTA plans, and pay, not SMRT. SMRT only operate

The staff said the trains will terminate at BGB, LKS, and CMT during the closure.

the decision to close has been planned. so it is going to be close and let's see what big screw up on the weekends during the month of nov.

maybe not just SMRT buses, SBST will help the SMRT... nearby dept is soon lee depot..
Passengers at NSL got alternative way to Bishan (CCL) /city hall to transfer to EWL

Time for pictures of yesterday's JEMP visit! I've got 20 pictures, so the post will be super long. :S
The map of the new railway tracks and platform. Green are the ones being constructed, red are the existing ones, while the circle stands for new turnouts (or crossovers).
Schematic track diagram for the new layout.
This is how the new turnouts will be, and how they build new viaducts and join in to the existing ones.
Onto the construction site! This is the ground level.
Ground Level: This is how they get up and down between the ground and the concourse level.
Concourse Level: Escalator shaft
Concourse Level: Lift Shaft
Concourse Level: Existing Concourse Level
Concourse Level: Looking around
Concourse Level: Stairs up to the platform level!
Platform Level: Looking eastwards.
Platform Level: Looking westwards.
Platform Level: New railway tracks
Platform Level: Looking around...

Well that's all folks! JEMP is estimated to be completed next January to February. Looking forward to it!

Bendy have better "offloading" speed, and larger capacity (DDs does not allow standing passengers above deck.)

Spray painted at site near JE Int then lifted up to fix on roof of new platform

i noticed on the trackside or platform that there looks like no provison for HH platform screen doors, or are the cables already laid down?? after all the present jurong east have halfhight platform screen doors.

Care to explain more, because I know that HHPSDs are going to be installed once they put all the floor tiles.
