Nah, sorry, I'm using Chrome.
Update on JEMP: Tracks have been laid out after JUR towards CLE.
I am happy to report all beams for JEMP are up. a milestone for the project completed.
ballast, sleepers and tracks are laid along the segment after JUR. many parts of the tracks are having their metal railings and side concrete covers (the part where they run the four pairs of electrical wires) up.
plenty of ballast is waiting near the casting yard around Upper Jurong Road. the roof segment is still happily waiting beside the new platform though.

Base on your information, can I say that the JEMP is expected to be completed by Dec this year?
if they maintain this pace, we should be looking at a very advanced stage of completion by year end, especially for the new tracks. however they still have to join the new tracks to existing tracks, and that cant go fast since they only have a few hours every night.
but I think the station wont be that fast, even with the roof, it is still essentially the skeleton. there are still mechanical and electrical works (including another 54 sets of PSDs), as well as various aesthetic works like tiling and painting.
dont forget there is testing to do as well. the targeted completion date of project is 30th July 2011 by the way.

They are planning to shutdown the section of the tracks on a day (day, not night) somewhere in ________.(insert month here) So they have more hours to join the tracks, but still can't be so fast one. Besides, once started, cannot stop.

I'd prefer if it's Sept 11. You know? 9/11?

Cannot avoid one, must shut down.

Cannot do at night meh? If close Jurong East, how train service to CLE?

Night only a few hours, no time. Unless it's possible to run services with partial completion.

No. May be the train skip JUR then towards CLE. :D

Huh, so ma fan de. So u mean they may do a Joo Koon - Lakeside, Bus bridge from Lakeside - Clementi, Clementi - Pasir Ris.
Then for NSL, it would be Marina Bay - Bukit Gombak, 1 train for Bukit Gombak - Bukit Batok and the other one from Bukit Gombak - Jurong East (Or might as well bus bridge Bukit Gombak - Jurong East)

The main issue is not JUR, is they want to change the tracks to put a crossover instead.
So, the train cannot move while tracks are changing. (Or else suicide ah?)

TO : Sorry all passengers, the train towards Pasir Ris will be stuck in this train segment for 6 hours, Please bear with us. The Supermans are coming over to send you people food and water.

Trains cannot even enter JUR because the tracks are not completed.

Not the current tracks?

They have to modify the current tracks which includes its removal.

Trains can enter from CLE WB and CHG EB and BBT SB
BUT! all trains going EB on the EWL would be stuck as they would be modifying the tracks there.
Then there is another one, modify NSL tracks.
I dont believe they must close the station because how difficult is it to do this stage?
Step 1 (Day 1): demolish the nearby walls
Step 2 (Day 2): remove the old tracks and insert a new one (How long is it gonna take, not 50 mins job, but surely 5 hours is enough). If not then it means EWL / NSL will end the train service earlier (Say by 10pm last train) and start later (First train on 6:30am and not 5:45am)
Step 3: Install the traffic lights. (May do together with Step 2)
Tada! Finish le.
BTW, BBT SB? There is no crossover from NB to SB except at Bukit Gombak, which is.......
Note: BBT SB also not possible, because the JEMP need connect the new platform / track to BBT SB. So, in the end all trains terminate at Bukit Gombak like "ALJ LTE" and then maybe put 2 trains from 2 platform special services from BGB - BBT (So BBT's 2 platform are same de) and bus bridge from BBT to JUR

1) Demolish concrete leh... use your bare hands and show us your true colours!
2) Pull out the tracks ar.. Everyone use drill you use bare hands ok? Secured with hundreds of bolts. The guide rail must cut also ar. You use your karate chop and cut it while others use chainsaw. People use drill drill in the bolts while you use your epic spin and screw it in
3) You ownself, on the electrical currents and connect the wires together while other people, they use safety equipments
