But for SBST, they only operate 25 trains on 1 line. Manpower is not an issue for them because there's so little workforce required. Whereas for SMRT, they need to hire at least 120% of the maximum MRT fleet due to shift changing, peak hour SISO and etc. Plus alot of people are encouraging SMRT to get more Transit Security to enforce crowd control during peak hour when platforms can literally explode.

Bro, are u trying to say that only SMRT needs xtra manpower as they need to change shift ? SBST does have different shifts too. If not, do u expect the guy to be on the train from the start of the day till end of day ?? This is impossible..
Seriously, i dont see the link of transit security and the deployment of trains.

Yes I understand, but the ratio of SBST trains to SMRT trains is different. 25 : 106 (at max) is about 1 : 4. For every 1 person SBST hires, SMRT needs to hire about 4.
9 minutes for a train in SG. HK's MTR only takes 2 minutes!

Actually driving SMRT train is easy. Speed and braking is controlled by computer if in AM mode. So the TO only need to press annoucements and doors.

You think it's so easy? Be one and find out for yourself!

If even aiming on BVE is not that easy (especially one of those Japanese or British routes with restrictions)...then what you do have to say.

Then I recommend that you drive the MTR Disneyland Resort Line, 3km, 4 mins, Fully Auto, sit in the cabin, no need to walk around the train (which NEL requires staff to walk around), even easier than NEL. Similar to NEL's last few trains (which they have to drive it for the whole route and to depot), you have to drive train back to depot.

He thinks being an SMRT TO is so easy. =.="
1) Always open cab door in crowded stations to check for anymore people boarding, eye have to be very sharp, if close on people = Hosei liao.
2) Operating in CM during rainy day - Have to press the dead-man switch for don't know how long... cannot even let go.
3) Simply too many instructions to follow... you get messages from OCC frequently plus all the notices at the MRT Stations. Bu Fan Nao Cai Guai.
4) And this is the worse thing of all: Banging into people who fall into tracksĀ - the psychological trauma will haunt you for months, if not years.
