I didnt see this anywheer so I started a new topic, and since theres no suggestion topic anywhere, I made this it.
I suggest having an Ang Mo Kio LRT system. I found that AMK is quite big and an LRT system might be necessary.
West loop and east loop:
AW1: Ang Mo Kio (interchange with MRT and East loop)
AW2: Ctrl 3
AW3: Yio Chu Kang (interchange with MRT)
AW4: Thye Hua Kuan (near thye hua kuan hospital)
AW5: Yio Chu Kang Gardens
AW6: Neighbourhood N2
AW7: Kebun Baru
AW8: Swimming Complex
AE1: Ang Mo Kio (transfer with MRT and West loop)
AE2: Neighbourood N5
AE3: Ind Park 2
AE4: Tavistock
AE5: Berwick
AE6: Bishan Depot
Pls comment and sticky. Howewver if a similar thread already exists, pls link to it here and close it. Thx!

Agree. AMK already got so many HDB flats around, where to find space to build LRT? And AMK is already easily assessible via its loop services which run through almost every street. I guess the LRT would not be possible.

If it doesnt work on A, doesnt mean it doesnt work on B.
LRT is slow and waste alot energy.
It is also not cheap to built an LRT system.
Maybe you should instead suggest changing the MRT or something like that.
For example, AMK station to near to YCK, then if you suggest AMK built further away then can already lo.
But ah i tell u AMK system good enough le.
Be satisfied with it ba, it very good le.

In that case, why did they build THREE LRT systems then? The bt panjang one nvm, still got the useless sengkang west loop (163) and east loop (cant count how many buses), and the redundant punggol east loop (3 62 83)
Yah, all is waste of money and energy. They should buy more CNG buses and built more CNG refilling station! Every time I heard of Bt Panjang LRT brokedown or power failure! Enough is enough! Lucky my estate area do no depend on the LRT system.

then you can continue dreaming....
AMK estate is super stablised after so many years already...in fact i think singapore has got no more space to build anymore above ground tracks...except for the ongoing ones(Jurong extension)
the stations u stated...would be good if it's shuttle service...lol...
I have a suggestion for having the two carraiges at the end of the train as a "quiet carraige" which means that no annoucements will be played in these two carraiges (except during an emergency). This gives the people who are familiar with the stations a peaceful ride. Sometimes I do get tired of hearing stuffs like "If you see any suspicious article..." and "Eating or Drinking..." etc.

Erm... Quiet cars in Hong Kong simply has no TV installed, not no announcements. What if tourists step into your quiet cars by mistake? Especially on the Changi Airport Line towards Tanah Merah?

SMRT can put notices on the platform to indicate that people who do not wish to board the quiet car should go to the other side.

They must put big sign eh. Anyway the 7th car quiet will be useless. 6th car still will have noise going in.

Also, the quiet cars + the first class car (which is also quiet) are trailers, no propulsion motors underneath.
