C751B,C151 or refurbished C151?
C751B can travel faster than a C151, but it will travel at the same speed as a C151 during normal daily operations to ensure a proper timetable.

plus C751B, imo, pickup is faster.
NEL trains has a higher crusing speed (75kph as seen from manual use), due to it operating with overhead instead of third rail, and also because its using the IGBT-VVVF technology, which is newer and faster than the old pure GTO thyristor system (not to be confused with the GTO-VVVF). Max speed wise, ask Alstom, LTA or SBST
The C751B's are the fastest ones on the SMRT system. I do believe that the Mitsubishi IGBT-VVVF inverter allows the train to run to probably 130 -150kph or even more if there is no restriction compared to the older trains which has 95kph max. But crusing speed is just 40kph.
