New SMRT in-train annoucements

I decided to create a thread here instead of in the Trains Forum as it is much more active here. Given up on the battle for having Juanita Melson back? I have not. Tell us what you think. In the meantime, catch these:
Full old annoucements on every line: 017/018, 055/056, 229/230, 117/118 and most of C751Bs except 327/328, 315/316 and a few more
One Line old annoucements: 013/014 (EWL)
Eastbound only: 215/216
Northbound only: 213/214

hey! observed on both EWL and NSL. 327/328 seems to have reverted back to old announcements! i boarded at ADM stn to KRJ, guess wad? old announcements! i recorded them down.

Haha. 315/316 still using new annoucements yesterday when I boarded it. Good sign that SMRT might be putting back old annoucements on all trains!!!!!!!! -
327/328 is what kind of train? 1G refurbished train or 3G train? I missed Juanita's voice.!

The current set of announcments are super irritating. Doors are closing, Eating and drinking are not allowed on our stations and trains ~! Freaking irritating accent. I hope SMRT the incompetent company will do something about it.

Agree with you. The annoucer is most probably very local pretty young lady who likes to show off her high pitched irritating accent. "If you see any Suspicious......" sound like a China lady. -

You mean 327/328 has gotten back old annoucements?!!!! Good sign that SMRT might be putting back old annoucements on all trains!!!!!!!! -

The new announcement has been improved a bit. SMRT has re-recorded the new announcement. Prominent changes are in Jurong East MRT announcement and Clementi. The Doors Closing chime is also changed a bit. The Siren Chime sounds being shortened a bit and followed by Doors Are Closing immediately (No more short intervals between two).

I have heard the modified announcements too, aboard 051/052, southbound.
E.g.:
- Dhoby Ghaut station: "Next station, Dhoby Ghaut interchange. Passengers who are continuing their journey on the North East Line, please alight at the next station."
- City Hall station: "City Hall Interchange. Passengers who are continuing their journey towards Bugis, Pasir Ris or Changi Airport, please proceed to Platform D"
By the way the "Please mind the platform gap" intonation has changed.

It is so confusing to point Passengers to Platform D for transferring to EWL service to Pasir Ris, especially the tourists. There is no big and obvious sign in the station that state what platform D really is. I still prefer the old announcement which is clear and straightforward. I really don't know what the fck is in SMRT's mind. -

Ya! I really can't stand her accent and voice. She is so emphasizing in the R sound and Ty sound. Changi AirPoRRRRRT, sound so ewwwwwww -

At Jurong East, it says " Jurong East Interchange. This train terminates at this station. Passengers travelling towards City Hall and Pasir Ris, please transfer at platform A on the left. Passengers travelling towards Boon Lay, Please transfer at platform B on the right.". Annoucing to alight at the left or right is enough. Most of us will not bother weather its called Platform A or B.
