Based on my latest observations...
Train service from Yew Tee to Bukit Gombak heading towards Jurong East were disrupted. 3 SMRT Buses (TIB1034D, TIB857C & TIB607H) were deployed to serve affected passengers to Bukit Gombak MRT Station, then passengers can continue their journey to Jurong East MRT Station.
Do expect long queues for the shuttle buses, as well as the feeder services 302 & 307.

Ya... this morning... my friend stuck over at Bukit Gombak MRT. No announcement was made when he began his journey from Jurong East, the service just terminated over there and the mrt attendant asked everyone to get out of the train at that station.
WTF. If the servic were to be terminated there, they should at least made an announcement so that those who do not wish to embark on that journey would not continue...
It is also about time SMRT build fully air conditional above ground MRT Station so that they can build gates like the underground ones and people will stop falling off the platform...
Man suicide at CCK MRT at Northbound train around 825am and the train stop at MRT. Just the body is below.
All commuters to ask to evacuate the CCK MRT. And SMRT don't care about the alternate arrangements like deployed buses, Until the train service resumed about 920am, all ppl wait for taxi and the ppl wait for taxi was more than 500 over along all around CCK Central.
MRT dont arrange any buses and they say this was not their train fault so they no need to arrange alternate transports. The news link is saying wrong.
Civil defence and police arround there.
And also our quality service awarded SMRT, still they interested in to develop MRT with shops for their revenue and not interested in installing of gates at platforms like Hong Kong and the services to provide for commuters
And also this morning another good service provided by our taxi companies and all the drivers hide behind the military campus and wait for their call.
Commuters call the taxi hot line, it will be always busy asusual.
Good Singapore Companies and Good Singapore CEOs of Public Transports.
We want to go for first in everything. finally only the public suffer like this.
Another Good Example for our crisis management

Those ppl who want to jump off mrt track shud really think for the others. if they wanna jump, jump off from the track and smack hard hard onto the ground below lah. at least wont affect passengers

They might as well jump off a building..confirm die.

it takes more guts to leap from a building than an mrt track. because height creates more fear.

I would think that getting crushed and having the train rip your body apart creates quite a bit of fear as well..depends on how you look at it. If its suicide, dying in such a way would definitely make a statement and an impact on the people who you would want to know about your death.

lol. guess so. for me i would rather choose mrt too. when the train comes, just jump. no time to think about it.
but as you jump from a building, you will think as you fall. sure regret hahaha.
whoever decided to commit suicide on the tracks is an inconsiderate fuck.

Why should he/she be considerate to the world when the world is inconsiderate to him/her ?

haha, if i was suicidal. being considerate to everyone else is prolly at the back of my mind.
how come most of those whom commit suicide by jumping on MRT track happen during peak hours?
So that people like you who surf this forum can help to broadcast of his demise faster mah
