Train delays on NEL
There were delays in the train service on the North-East Line, which is operated by SBS Transit, from 7.10 to 7.31 this morning.
A caller to the MediaCorp News Hotline, Mr Faizi, said the train he took from Seng Kang stalled at Serangoon Station for about 10 minutes. The train was also delayed at every station till Dhoby Ghaut Station, where he alighted.
Another caller, Ms Liao, who took the train from Seng Kang to Harbour Front, also complained about delays.
An SBS Transit spokesman said "technical difficulties along the line resulted in irregular headways".

Speaking of which, ALSTOM trains are also running along CCL...will CCL end up having the same fate as NEL?
Not being racist but I would prefer Kawasaki getting to build the trains...the C151s last so long (2 decades) that it only needs refurbishment. And it would certainly go on for a few more years. ALSTOM? Breakdowns and technical glitches after a few years. By 2020, I see it heading to the junkyard.
after all, everyone waxes lyrical about Japanese metro train efficiency but the French? Leaves a lot to be desired....(not that the Americans are better? Don't you agree, you sad folks at CCK and KL (Putraline) having to rely on crappy Bombardiers?)

partly about how SBST programmed their trains...
