Your last old annoucements SMRT ride

229/230 is the only C651 using old annoucements left and every train I took these days use new annoucements. Only a few of the C151 uses old annoucements and thankfully all the C751B still uses old annoucements. Soon, each and every train might be using new annoucements which sound unprofessional and akward, especially to our tourists from Europe. Has SMRT said anything about these new annoucements so far?

Today I board 104/103..with the old announcement...My ears were soothing like I almost wanted to cry inside the train......

I think SMRT should let us download all of Juanita Melson's old annoucements and the old nice ding-dong sound at their website.

The last one I took was a C751B sometime in January or Febuary. -
Looks like someone will have to quickly record down all the old annoucements!!!
Its the C751B's turn to get new annoucements!!!

today just boarded 311/312 to work with old announcements NSL 082. transferred to 211/212 on EWL with new announcements. go back boarded 055/056 with old announcements on EWL. transferred to NSL boared 097/098 with new announcements. all 4 different variants.

Everyone TAKE NOTE:
Its not a matter of getting use to it. It is a matter of unprofessionalism shown by SMRT due to some words of phrases sounding weird and sometimes even pronounced incorrectly. For instance, Yishun was pronounced as "yee-soon" in the new annoucements and "Passenger travelling towards........" sounded the weirdest and most irritating. This is because the new annoucer's voice is too high pitched and therefore unsuitable for in-train annoucements. In fact, most of the annoucements and the "siren" sound irritating actually. Europeans who take a ride on our MRT will therefore think that Singapore is unable to use the English Language properly.

Board 346 a few days on EWL 006 w/old announcement but tape gone "crazy"...
Started with "Bedok" at Boon Lay Stn, "Tanah Merah Int, blah, blah, ... " at Lakeside Stn, "Simei" inbetween Chinese Garden/Jurong East Stns & driver make his own "Jurong East" announcement upon reaching Jurong East Int Stn...

Took 345/346 today... everything seems normal. Probably because it likes NSL. =D -

I am not telling you to upload from you phone's internet feature. Transfer the files from your phone to your computer and then upload from your computer. Just try as hard as possible for everyone in the train forums.

i tried plugging in the USB into my com and my frens com. the coms ended up hanging after that =/

Forgot to update my last rides:
2nd last: 215/216 (old annoucements only on Eastbound)
Last: 055/056 (not sure weather it uses old annoucements for both EWL and NSL)
