Previously, the average waiting time for a NEL train to arrive to a station is 5-7 mins.
However, recently after Chinese New Year or so, i was shocked to find that the train waiting time has increased to 10 mins! What's worse is that it's already 7:10AM and i am very sure I'm gonna be late for school if i miss the next 10 mins train.
At first I thought it was only for one day, but who knows after a week on a Sunday the waiting time for trains going towards HarbourFront and Punggol at around 8AM at Serangoon MRT were still 10 mins.
I'm wondering what's wrong with SBS Trains these days. First was the change in the colour display of train arriving time(Oh well the current one sux, i still prefer the black and blue colour.), and now the delay in arrival of train to arrive at a station. In addition to that, i noticed that one of the Platform(should be Platform B) was closed at HarbourFront station for the entire day ><
I also noticed that SBST removed the press release about increased frequency for NEL from their website.
NSL seem to be getting crowded during peak hour in the evening..
did SMRT reduce the frequency again?
mr_sotong we are talking about NEL by SBS Transit, not any SMRT lines ><
complain to papers lo...
TS: The timing of the NEL trains are such that all the trains utilise Platform A. The train has to move off before the next train can enter. Platform B is mainly used during peak hours or when there are special runs / test trains.

i think that's only for HarbourFront, rite? has it only happened after the incident in the tunnels btw Outram Park and HarbourFront?
30 secs interval is ideal
fark and i thought during the peak period of 8+ the waiting time for trains to harbourfront was bad enough.
at kovan and serangoon, the train is almost maxed out already.
fare increase therefore waiting time also increase
nowadays quite ok I think... peak hours I saw 3 mins interval trains...
