  according to the menteri besar of johor abdul ghani singapore MRT line will be extended to IDR.

  It should be 'may' rather than 'will'.
  
  The speculation arises after SMRT was invited as a potential operator for the upcoming Johor Bahru rail transit system. With the IDR announced soon after that, it makes sense to them to allow the MRT system to be extended to serve the IDR, since Singaporeans working there are supposedly 'treated' as locals also.

  Yes, the IDR is targetting at Singaporeans. But at the end of the day, it is still other ppl's land. Why shld the Singapore Govt spend Singaporeans tax payers money to build project that will benefit other countries ?

  well, with annoucment of DTL, eastern region line, thomson line, no sig of MRT going into Johor yet.
  
  Maybe thomson line will be a hint , since it links directly to the city. LOL.
  
  i bet north shore line will be up first.
