There were two disruptions in train services today.
Northbound service between Woodlands and Kranji stations was disrupted for about an hour when a man was hit by a train at Marsiling station.
He was sent to the National University Hospital with serious leg injuries.
The incident occurred at around 11 this morning.
Bus bridging services were activated to ferry some 1,900 passengers between Kranji and Woodlands stations.
Normal train service resumed around noon.
The other disruption happened at around 10 am when someone jumped onto the southbound track at Kranji MRT station.
The act was caught on closed circuit television cameras, but when the police and SCDF officers arrived, no one was found.
Bus bridging services were also activated to ferry passengers between Yew Tee and Woodlands stations.
Some 3,500 passengers were affected by the incident.
Train services resumed at about 11am.
Police are investigating both incidents.
Passengers who were unable to complete their journey due to the disruptions can claim a full fare refund.
They can do so at any of the 51 SMRT stations within the next three working days.[/b]
hmmm it's weird someone was captured on cctv to be jumping off at kranji station but no body or smth is found...
