  Recently, I discover those CCTV monitors installed at the ends of the platform (the east bound has 1 CCTV monitor & the south bound (Marina Bay diretion) has 2 CCTV Monitors))

  JUR middle platform is the testbed for all these kinds of stuffs.
  
  10 years ago they installed a digital clock so drivers can keep track of when they shld move off.

  Tanah Merah also has that CCTV. At Platform D where the CG Shuttle is. In fact, it also has a lighting system just off the platform D to show if any trains from EastBound or WestBound is arriving. If a westbound train is approaching TNM, the lighting will show a blue "W". It would go off once the train leaves. Same thing for eastbound trains, except that it would show a blue "E" instead.

  Hehe... because I went for my class chalet from the 6th to 8th and I took the chance to do train spotting on the EWL which I hardly sat on. Then I thought Tanah Merah would be a nice place to do spotting especially during peak hours because that is the first stop empty trains would go from CG depot before heading onto PSR.
  
  Then I saw the lighting signs.
  
  P.S.: Just to help you a bit, they are at the middle platform of TNM, whereby it's just off the tracks when a CG Shuttle train exits.

  Hmm, i never noticed that when i took the train from pasir ris to tg pagar on 6 nov morning from chalet. You have any idea when it was installed? I will try to keep a lookout the next time i need to take a train beyond eunos.
