I'm not sure but my dad believed that Transport Photography is one way terrorists plan attacks. I said it's ridiculous to conclude that it's US to be blame. Those terrorist won't know which part is most vulnerable and they need details.
I mean come on. We are just living for our passion for trains. I dun care if it's wrong but never took a pic of a MRT since last year.

Busy streets like Orchard Rd are also equally as prone to terrorists attacks.. Then if terrorists pretend to be tourists take photos to plan terror attacks? Then How? Ban tourists from taking photos at public streets?

We are neither here nor there; while the by-laws may be in place, there's nothing to stop those who are keen on taking photos, including those with malicious intentions.

SMRT is being too sensitive about photo-taking... I mean come on. Tourists come to Singapore to look at Changi Airport, and many other interesting features, which includes the self-proclaimed world-class transport. Then they find that they are not allowed to take photos.
As long as I get away with photo-taking, I don't mind how much they implement the rule 'cos I always take photos of trains.

What about SBS Transit? I know they don't like photo-taking of their buses but NEL MRT train can or not meh?

Australia (a target to terrorists) can allow railway fans photograph trains inside their train stations and train interchanges (but must get permit to photo) but not Singapore...
