Bag is wet as water drips from train ceiling

STOMPer MiuMiu ended up wet on the way to work in the train because water was dripping from the ceiling of the carriage.
"I noticed that water was dripping from the ceiling. I was seated, and the dripping occurred right next to my bag," the STOMPer said in an email today (27 Sept).
"By the time I realised it, the water droplets had wet a good part of my bag. I believed I read something similar on this forum before.
"Besides, I realised that these days the MRT trains are pretty warm even on rainy day; for example, this morning.
"Is the SMRT management cutting cost because the government did not approve their proposal on the fare hike?"

Don't expect much from C151 trains.
Besides, trains also have thermostats what... inside too cold then the thermostat will activate a while to keep temperatures at an average... -
Well, it still happens in some old C151 train. This is inevitable. I think refurbishing old C151 will solve this.

In tunnels, they absorb air from inside the tunnel then filter it before undergoing condensation to form cool air. Sometimes condense too much become liquid lor. ~.~ -

It's rather distorted to say that yeah they have faults, yet still have a good level of standard and service....
People can tell whether they have done a good job or not. -

Dude, trains do get faulty. This is one technological truth we can never deny. Everything has got it's effiency rate. Sometimes things happen and people start making a hoo-haa out of it.
If you can be open and accept it as a fault, just send a message to SMRT Corporation and see if they reply. By making a mountain out of a molehill, does the STOMPer achieve anything? Fame? More like idioticity and childishness.
Some people JUST cannot grow up... sigh... to think I'm 15 years old and speak better than what others speak, when they are, adults? Contributers to the society? "Experienced" as they call it?.

Yes, PUI is a new label for those always complaining, they seem like they have no life, things go faulty and they start saying this saying that, while they don't even know a single thing about machine effiency. That's why they are labelled PUI.
Compare our transport to other countries before you start making such ludicrous and absurd comments.
If you like to complain so much, why not be the one who is taking on calls about PUIs everyday? See how you would feel then. Yes, SMRT proclaims itself to have world-class transport, but the theory of machinery effiency tells us that even anything that is godly can turn faulty. That's reality.
C151 trains are already nearly 20 years into service, you mean they still have an efficiency of 100%? Stop living in your own world.

This is understandable. Whether C151 train is old or refurbished, these incidents may happen so you can't expect SMRT technicians to work around the clock checking all trains thoroughly whether they are undergoing maintenance or currently under revenue service.
Singapore MRT is similar to Hongkong MTR in terms of efficiency and cleanliness. However, Hongkong MTR has better frequency than Singapore MRT if I remembered it correctly.
Nevertheless, we should still appreciate that Singapore MRT is best known for its cleanliness and efficiency although there are still some room for improvements, like perhaps increasing the frequency on weekends to handle heavy traffic, especially in the central of Singapore i.e. Bugis and Orchard.
Anyway, I would say SMRT is doing good job as they are maintaining high quality of transportation service, not even a single breakdown per train in a year since 2000s.

all i can say is this:
many S'poreans don't know how to appreciate our transportation system. we may not be the best in the way, but i would say it is satisfactory, at the very least. but don't be too harsh with them lah, many people have not seen transportation in other countries and don't have anything to compare with.
for the guy who complained abt the BC being rude to him, just ignore the BC lah! not like he insulted the guy's parents or wat.
and many stompers love to point out small matters which they are not happy with, which are not in the least newsworthy. I'm talking abt majority, bcos a handful of submissions are decent enough at least. -

i'm not blaming them, cause' different people have different sets of thinking, some would care less, some would care more. Afterall it is for a good cause, so let's not blame them.

40-year-old STOMPer Teo, a manager, snapped this photo of Eunos MRT Station at about 2pm today (30 Sept).
"It looks more like a Dumping Station rather than an MRT station. You find here bicycles, cement bags, trash bags, trolley, containers," the STOMPer writes in an email to STOMP.
Teo adds that the site is also a potential "playground for terrorists" to plant their bombs.
His imagination I have to say its "first-class".
