Seriously I wouldn't mind seeing all this because I ahve seen it before (vehicular accidents) and hence I have no fear. Have went through some trauma and come out to be stronger person (I felt dah, maybe proven wrong at any time). The only concern i have is the 'mc' they give, you would not step into a train cab from then on unless you prove pyschologically alright, I think, or else it will be away from the controls.
For me, I guess SMRT will not employ me at all, because if I see someone jump, I will not press e brake because this may cause injury to other passenges on the train (Japan Railways does this, because their trains are long) but for me is passenger safety concern. So I will let the train brake to normal stopping point, monitor all systems in the meantime with professionalism, switch off the console with professionalism, announce to passengers that there is an emergency with professionalism. Not be in distress and complain about it later and eventually lose the job.
I have simulated emergency on simulators (no blood, no graphics, but just simulate) and I must say, you need a strong heart.
I am ready to replace those without strong hearts. But do keep in mind, I hate people who jump the tracks too, they spoil the image of train, SMRT and the TOs. And they truely prove that they are, the coward end of life.

Personally I dont think the operators of the train would be traumatised..my guess is they wil be angry that they have to do extra work as in paperwork or speaking to police etc. Maybe they would have to go home late that night or maybe miss a cigarette break.Originally posted by Meat Pao:The suicide people hor.....should be more considerate loh....
Imagine if you drive a car...then someone suddenly came to the road, and u have no time to stop the car, and killed that person.....!
Blood everywhere.....body parts....
Will you be traumatized....? You feel like you killed someone....
Now this MRT suiciders....I feel they are neglecting the MRT machinist/ operator...
Imagine you are operating the MRT happily......then suddenly someone jumped into the track....you damn shocked and try to brake....but cannot....and hit the person...making some sound, see some blood, maybe see body parts.....then u anxiously wait the news from the firemen...who later told u the victim is dead...
Like this....I believe the MRT machinist might be traumatized...
And the worst thing is.....if someone is suay........because alot of suicides.....if he is especially suay, he will experience killing someone more than once....Imagine he is traumatized....then after afew months of psychiatric treatment, he is somewhat recovered already....then it happened again!

is the TO position the following?:Originally posted by SBS9889U:
If people jump when a train is reaching the station, why bother pressing E-Brake anyway? Just continue on or accelerate, because the person eventually dies.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Hey guys! Yup friend, you got it correct, ps. not continue accelerate, because you have to stop eventually (unless in CM mode) and then let the passengers get off.Originally posted by Oceane:If people jump when a train is reaching the station, why bother pressing E-Brake anyway? I thought I read somewhere that most, if not all, religions believe that u go to hell if u commit suicide...Originally posted by fark_off:They want to go on to their next phase of rebirth. It is what they want. They will thank the MRT TO for it.
