  Man falls at Jurong East MRT station
  
  SINGAPORE: A man was injured when he fell through a gap between the escalator and staircase at the Jurong East MRT station on Friday morning.
  
  Police said he fell onto the concourse of the first floor of the station at about 10am.
  
  The man, who is in his early 50s, suffered head injuries and has been warded at the National University Hospital.
  
  The police are investigating the accident.
