why do the 3rd gen of mrt trains not hav advertisements on their exterior eh?

If they want to do that, they will dirty their car body as well as need to remove their black cover like those C151 train whose body is too dirty after being covered with advertisement cover so these car had to be covered up with white cover.
So I don't think SMRT will do that at anytime. -
Well, they could at least remove the black cover and replace it with an advertisement on the exterior.. For Siemens, impossible. It's painted original white. The new C151s will not adorned exterior ads.

Agreed, its much better to have the ads internally rather than externally otherwise it'll leave lots of "residue remains" once the ads are removed & it won't be pleasing to one eyes anymore

Well, at least you know one thing! Companies will have to rely on buses now to advertise as trains could not be used. If you visit Japan's Keio Line, I think you know their bodies are stainless steel and no exterior ads was on them from their start of lifespan. So, bye bye for train exterior advertisment.
P.S: SMRT sometime lazy never remove expired exterior ad from trains like 3075 -3076. Only interior ad removed, exterior no.
P.S again: Is 3024-3023 undergoing refurbishment? -
Take 3125-3126 for example. It's body paint was severely damaged that it has to undergo the white cover treatment which went horribly wrong. I visit SMRT open house and saw 3085-3086 undergoing ad change. It's original body's red strip was completely badly worn out. The train was ugly -

Heehee, actually I like the stainless steel type body, but those bodies can also accept pasted ad and so on, to the least, they can be pasted at small proportions compared to whole car ads like here does.

Not only this, 3047/3048 body painting was very badly damaged so they are covered with white cover. But I can see some parts of white cover being teared. 3015 -3016 was thought to have been refurbished but it was undergoing servicing during SMRT Open House

Agree some of the cars after the ad being remove it looks very ugly
I believe there would be more advertisers if stations or railway tracks in the city isnt underground. When will LRT have ads

But wouldn't a company with its rolling stocks adless reflect better in the company. Actually, ads not only damage the train itself, also the passengers' reputation (less space in windows to view through) and the image of the company.
I don't like trains with ads. Take my favourite country which is full of trains and you will know why.

quite a no. of train stations esp the NS-line are underground. also, advertising on the train's exterior can hardly attract passerbys' attention/glance unlike buses as they are running on elevated tracks.
Thats why it makes sense to advertise on the trains' interior instead to attract the max attention.
for planes, its quite difficult for people even those standing at the airport's viewing gallery to have a glance on the plane's ads should there be one. furthermore, the planes are in the sky most of the time. so how to attract public attention to the ads? furthermore as planes generally fly across countries or continents, the ads might not attract the right attention.
