Preparations for Circle Line Stage 6

In the tender called for construction of DTL1, there exists an overrun track for turning back, as well as maintenance facilities, running to beyond NSL Marina Bay Station.
As we know, Circle Line will also have its own platforms at Bayfront, besides the one at Promenade. This means CCL might be a user of this overrun.

why is CCL having platforms at bayfront leh? i tot stage 1 is from dhoby ghaut straight to boulevard? it makes a sharp turn at promenade? how come got extra track coming out de? isnt the DTL supposed to interchange at promenade? -
Can ask whether have they dig up the bodies?

According to 2 newspaper articles in Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao some time back last July, construction at stage 3 is the fastest, and of all interchange stations, construction at Bishan is going the most smoothly. Some days back, there was a sign along Marymount Lane saying "Marymount Road will be reinstated from 2/2/07 onwards". Now, the two station entrances are half done and the station concourse dug in the middle of the road is being covered up. I remembered it was mentioned that one more station (Marina View) will be added and extended from Marina Bay on NSL line but now no news? Or is it being replaced by Landmark station from Downtown Line?

the marymount station steps/ escalators from street to concourse level already completed.. left the painting etc.. the roads are more or less re-alighned back..
took 4 long years.. sick of the jams

Supposedly, in the near future, the LTA might extend CCL with an additional station (CC30: Shenton Way), and thus linking it to (NS27/CC31 : Marina Bay). If they do that, Marina Bay will be a station for 2 terminals. Is it just me or did Stage3 take so much less time to complete compared to Stage2? cos i'm very surprised to see the exits at Serangoon stn and Lorong Chuan stn to be already built... (adding on to the pleasant news abt Marymount) Didnt Stage2 stations take really long? All i rmb along the stage2 stretch was a mess for years!

the earliest stage 2 could open is if stage 3 (or stage 1) opens, so u see the link. yes, we are talking assuming SMRT wakes up their idea and not open the whole line at once. -
I think some time back in the papers it was mentioned that stage 2 is delayed because of the area around Dakota station. IF I'm not wrong, after the Nicoll Highway Accident, LTA checked all the construction sites and I think there was a lot of soil movement around Dakota, so they stopped work for a bit. Not too sure though, correct me if I'm wrong.

Now there's another sign on the other side of the road (near the Boonview condo) saying that the reinstatement for the other side of the road will begin on 8/8/07.
