i notice the T1 station there , skytrain moving from T2 to T1 , there got 2 station.
1 is accessible another is opposite side , which cant be reached
is the one opposite for airport staff to their office ? -
OMG. after 20 odd years, somebody in Singapore still doesnt realize it. the other line is for TRANSIT PASSENGERS doing inter-terminal flight connections.

in that case, is there a similar structure at T2 Station? (one platform for transit passengers and another for other people) I'm not very sure, long time never go there.

why not upgrade to one with 3 cabins? everytime so crowded.

Terminal 3 will open on 9 Jan 2008.
The Terminal 3 trainset from Terminal 2 will have 3 cars. 1 for Transit passengers, 2 for Public passengers. -

The second Car is interchangeable between public and transit if theres a heavy load of Transit passengers needing to go to Terminal 3. However, all of the public passengers would have to exit the train first, then the doors would close, then the Transit side doors will open. Similar to the Sentosa Express procedures at Sentosa Station. -
in line with Terminal 3 trials and pre-opening activities, the skytrains from Terminal 2 to 3 has started running with passengers. saw some peeps boarding from the passenger side of T2. the double train uses the bridge bypassing T1. there wasn't any 3 trains though
T2 public side has 4 doors now
and the T1 > T2 train has their own 2 trains.. initially, sharesame system with the transit side -

There will be a preview for Terminal 3 like all terminals before. It will be help in November/December. Then maybe you can try the train.
The T3 train's Transit car isnt in operation yet, since the staff can only come in through the Public's side. -
Let's say you want to take the skytrain from terminal 1 to terminal 3. Does that mean that you will need to transfer to another train at terminal 2?
Wouldn't that be a bit inconvienient? -

T1 <-> T3 is single train, T3 <-> T2 is double train(for transit n public)
while T1 <-> T3 uses diff platform/track for transit and public -
About 4 months ago i saw the Skytrains parked in front of T2...

yup. there are 2 direct links btw t1 and t3 now.

Sorry for my earlier reply.
Trains for the T2-T3 East Line consists of a maximum of 2 cars only because if the shorter middle platform available at T3, 1 for the public, 1 for transit.
The public car is in front when the train is heading for T3 and behind when it is heading for T2.
