maybe next time round she's going to say she did it to save the environment, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and blah blah blah...
and why is she reluctant to give up SMRT Buses upon hearing SBS Transit proposal to the government? coz she currently trying to squeeze people from the north, esp Bt Panjang and CCK to make more transfers and hop onto the MRT. that's why we don't find any direct link eg from AMK/Hougang and Bt Panjang/CCK/Kranji/Sungei Kadut, etc etc.
and guess she knew that once SBST takes over the bus operation of the north, there's going to be REAL COMPETITION!!! and we shall see who's the one "bleeding"!! -

SMRT has yet to buy new buses to improve waiting time.
