I offer a more practical solution.
Install automatic doors, such as those found at the underground MRT stations. The main reason why these suicides occurred is because they had access to the tracks. Without access, most of them will be deterred from jumping the tracks. -
Yeah, thats the most practical, but SMRT had already said that it would be troublesome and expensive, so no way they said to that...

everytime ppl suicide forummers so pissed... react in all ways, come up with so much interesting suggestions for the better of the trains, oso nothing happen...
so maybe here's one suggestion... we laugh at those suicidal people make them think they're stupid then they don act so stupid le...

the fact is, if they wanna commit suicide, nothing can stop them. Still got many other ways like jump of a building, dash in front of a road. So many....
Why not look to the cause of why are there more of such stuff happening... -
This morning, around 730am, Woodlands station. Man didnt estimate the speed of the incoming train properly. End up he 'hit' the side of the train Anybody late for work due to the incident?

i think this time really accident
from wad i saw the guy is still alive... from wad i heard from the witness i think that guy fell accidentally n had a really deep cut on his head
at first i thought he was dead tho..but after awhile i saw him moving
not sure about whether he had the intention to kill himself or just an accident

it's purely accident. He didn't feel well that day, feeling dizzy and fall forward to the oncoming train. He's doing well now but still have to go for another surgery. Please be considerate. not all mrt accident is suicide case, there's pure accident case as well.
