Woman hit by train at Woodlands Station, service disruptedNorthbound train service was disrupted for about an hour this afternoon after a woman was hit by a train at Woodlands Station.
The incident happened at about 3.20pm.
Police say the victim is a Chinese woman in her 50s.
She has been sent to National University Hospital after complaining of pain in her right thigh.
The disruption to train service affected close to 3,000 passengers.
Train operator SMRT, in a bid to maintain service, turned around trains at Admiralty and Kranji stations.
A bus bridging service was also deployed to ferry passengers from both stations.
SMRT says passengers, who were unable to complete their journeys, can obtain a full fare refund from any of the MRT stations within the next three days.
Meanwhile, investigation by the police is ongoing.
