It's between Kranji and Admiralty. Heard the announcement at Ang Mo Kio. Train services resumed at around 4pm when i reached City Hall.
"Attention passengers, due to an accident along certain stretch of the North-South Line, north-bound trains will be delayed for about 45 minutes. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
The announcement repeats itself in 4 languages, English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil every 5 minutes, reducing the amount of time each time. They took less than 45 minutes I'm sure coz Ang Mo Kio to City Hall doens't take that much time. -

Hmm most possibly suicide.... dont you think there's a link? The recent suicide happened in the north....Yishun first....then Admiralty..
These people are complete irresponsible bastar.ds . If they really want to die, just jump from a 20 storey building, face down, confirm death...Dont commit suicide at mrt station...not only do they disrupt the services and cost the company money, some people may even refuse to take mrt ever again, cuz they tink that the stations are "unclean" due to the suicide cases...They are really irresponsible.

Heard on the 95.8 FM radio news bulletin - one 54 year old lady fell onto the tracks at Woodlands station. From what the report imply, she did not die - she was sent to hospital for treatment.
I got "kena" by this disruption - I will write about it in my blog later... -

Woman hit by train at Woodlands Station, service disrupted
Northbound train service was disrupted for about an hour this afternoon after a woman was hit by a train at Woodlands Station.
The incident happened at about 3.20pm.
Police say the victim is a Chinese woman in her 50s.
She has been sent to National University Hospital after complaining of pain in her right thigh.
The disruption to train service affected close to 3,000 passengers.
Train operator SMRT, in a bid to maintain service, turned around trains at Admiralty and Kranji stations.
A bus bridging service was also deployed to ferry passengers from both stations.
SMRT says passengers, who were unable to complete their journeys, can obtain a full fare refund from any of the MRT stations within the next three days.
Meanwhile, investigation by the police is ongoing. -

maybe they all pushing here and there leh, i thought aunties and uncles always like to rush in train doors one, you know i used to have a dog when in the lift, the door barely open and it wants to rush out already.
