Some 30 volunteers have come together to create art pieces which will be sold to the public and corporations to raise funds.
They plan to raise some $15,000 for the 8 beneficiaries under SMRT's Silver Tribute Fund.
The beneficiaries include the Geylang East Home for the Aged, Singapore Leprosy Relief Association and the Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
The volunteers, made up of senior citizens and caregivers, displayed their creative flair with some help from local artists.
Art therapists were also present to facilitate discussions to raise self-awareness, learning and group dynamics.
SMRT says the 33 paintings will be available for public viewing and sponsor in April, via its website, as well as exhibition at Raffles Place MRT station.
