Circle Line Stage 2

  Hey guys,
  
  Just want to find out about the opening of CCL Stage 2 to public. Will it be opened in 2008? Or we have to wait until all stage is completed in 2010 to be opened?
  
  It seemed there is no details on LTA website at the moment. But I do hope they will open Stage 2 in 2008.

  You are right that LTA is keeping mum on the opening schedule. The original schedule is to open the stages in sequence, starting from Stage 1 in 2007 to Stage 5 in 2010. However due to the Nicoll Highway incident, LTA has not make any concrete announcement on the revised schedule.
  
  However, we may infer how the it will open based on proxy source. A close proxy is Circle Line Art Competition, where LTA invites artwork/design to be incorporated into the new Circle Line system. The competition has two phases: first phase for stations in Stage 1-3, and second phase for Stage 4-5. Hence, we can infer that it is most likely that Circle Line will be opened to public in two phase: Stage 1-3 then Stage 4-5.

  abit slow dont u think? stage3 development is quite far behind stage 2...
  
  does anyone know about the progress on nicoll highway stn? is the station box ready?

  I thought LTA have already realigned the whole of the stretch of station & line away from Nicoll highway to the field opposite.

  Yes, that's right. The station has been shifted 100m away from the original site and is near Republic Road.

  Yes, that's correct.
  Happy waiting for those who are waiting for stage 1...
  
  Kim Chuan Depot will be ready next year, but trains will be block by the reconstruction of Nicoll Highway station to stage 1 stations.
