Some 6,000 affected by train service disruption
Some 6,000 train passengers were affected when an incident at the Admiralty MRT station disrupted train services this afternoon.
It's believed that a man was run over by a southbound MRT train.
The body was found pinned under the second last train carriage of the train.
The incident happened at around 2:09 pm.
A bus bridging service from Woodlands to Sembawang was activated at around 2.20pm.
Train services have since resumed.
Authorities are investigating the incident. -

I think when I was at Bishan station around 3:30 pm, services where back to normal. However there was a south-bound train waiting for more passangers, and the next SB train was 10 min away.

I took 3123/3124 from Toa Payoh to City Hall, 1314hrs board, this was before accident and all was well...

Unable to spot the victim but saw a small pool of dried blood on the platform. Seems like the force have splash the blood up to the platform.
One thing keep lingering on my head after i saw the pool of blood, how did the victim manage to jump in at precisely the small space between the two cabins.
One thing to note, the train is almost "park" properly to let the passengers out of the cabin if you know what i mean.
In theory, if the victim jump (location of "crime" is near the last second cabin)when the train approaching, the operator would have stopped the train and the train would have position in mid of the platform. However, it is not and the train is almost reaching to the proper parking position thus i conclude that the victim had jumped into the gap of the two cabin when the train almost stop.
Anyway, above is just my assumption based on my observation.

I think we should modify our trains such that the front and end part is armored to deal with the impact of the body and the wheels to Titanium and sharpened to slice through the body w/o being stopped,and delaying the whole service coz of that.

Does SMRT usually block of both north/south bound lines when an accident happens?
I remember they used to block off both rite? How come now they blocked only the affected area and allow the other side to continue?
