Downtown Line - BTL and ERL sees light finally

There isnt really a need to have ERL. Now already got EWL and CCL is also in the building. Only improvement needed is introduce new bus service from IR to the towns that was planned for ERL.

Actually if they can improve the bus svs it's better...
As for BTL, once it's built, BPLRT becomes useless -
well i forsee ridership problems for the BTL... its serves bukit timah area which caters mostly to private estates... and many of the home owners there have cars... unless the govt is serious abt its policy to promote greater usage of public tpt, BTL may end up like NEL: Part II
as for the LRT it still serves those around CCK estate, and they have a wider option to transfer at CCK or BPJ stns... i dont really see the uselessness in that... -

I don't quite see the need for BPLRT if BTL is in the works. The BTL (alternatively called Northwest Line) could start from CCK, run through BPJ and BTM estates before terminating in the city. 179, 344 & 345 could still have some use until that day comes.

Referring to the former Marine Parade Terminal Services that loops at Siglap Road. Most of them did not serve the later stretch of Marine Parade Road (Lagoon View corridor), causing a lack of services there. Some also did not serve the Parkway Parade stop such as services 55, 155 etc. So best if the ERL serves Marine Parade and also rationalise the services there.Originally posted by iveco:Which routes are you referring to?
