KTM Singapore section track strengthening works

The project of strengthening KTM Railway line in Singapore started in July 2005.

As of now, it is working southwords from Bukit Timah Railway Station (Singapore).

At some parts of the line (Bukit Timah - Alexandra Hospital section), new ballasts and cement sleepers are laid.

For other sections (Alexandra Hospital - Tanjung Pagar KTM section), the line has yet to be rehabilitated, but by August 2006 materials are found piled up along the KTM railway line.

From the next post onwards, photographs would be attached. It would be attached in the order of north (Woodlands) to south (Tanjung Pagar KTM). One small section with photographs (taken in August 2006) per subsequent post for easy understanding.

Finally, from the photographs, I can conclude that by August the work done is nearly half.
