This is a good example of SMRT and Singapore Government short-sightedness. Trains, urban trains, in other countries have more than 6 carriages, and those that do not have more frequent services, like 2-3 minutes for peak hours, this is what I call standard.
5-7 minutes for peak hours? Do you think this is Pyongyang (in North Korea, if you don't know, they have Metro too), where people take the Metro to show off only? Our MRT system is to work like a good system should, not to 'dilly-dally' and let pax wait for them.
Is SMRT afraid of another Clementi Accident? Wake up to your ideas, the ATO and ATC is not for show. I dare anyone to knock a train at any station now, you will stop before you see the train in front!
Hence, SMRT should wake up to their ideas, wash their face, and throw all the stock they have during the peak hours, not to the paint shop to 'zh-ng' them, but onto the damn tracks, to service our well-fed-up commuters!
