99% of the time u dont get a seat

  Most ppl face this problem everyday.should mrt be expanded like adding 2~4more cabins. trains get really crowded most of the time. could only get a seat when trains are near termination points at the far east and west points.
  then alot of times mostly during evening cannot even squeeze into the train.Sometimes we do need a seat esp when we're carrying heavy stuffs from place to place.so should we juz live with it or there are some rooms for improvement?

  they are only interested in reducing the number of seats and squeeze commuters in like sardines. with that they can cut down on the number of trains.

  Add cabin is almost impossible. Singapore is not that 'long' afterall and it would cost lots of money if more cabins were added coz stations need to be lengthened and then train fares will rise.

  can walk to other cabins then come out lor... with more cabins should be more spacious for movement.... so
  if cannot then like japan dbl storey,if really cannot then expand the station lor.... anyway with a growing population targeted at 6 million...

  i was thinking, because it'll cost too much to have train stations changed, and adding extra cabins might be abit of a hassle, esp to get out of the train is crowded during peak hours, why not just increase the frequency of train arrivals?
  For example, instead of every 6 mins or something, increase it to a train every 4 minutes. This way you can maximise all your resouces ma(i think).

  or lengthen the train then spilt the train into 2 sections for enterance and exit lor,the train come finished one section liao then shift forward,let the back section passengers enter and exit.....
