Dun know leh. I think on trial. But once successful will be fix on all trains. SBST buses will also have cctv install rite? -

Me saw the CCTVs installed in train carriage 1233 today, there are two in each carriage, mounted above the second and third doors in the carriage, the CCTV mounted along the lighting rail above second door looks forward the direction from the middle of the cabin to the end link and the other CCTV mounted above the third door looks forward the direction from the middle of the cabin to the front link of the cabin...

i honestly feel that CCTVs are damn useless...
they are useful to a certain extent as a deterrent but if u think about it on a practical scale, who would be deterred? only mischieve makers...
i feel that CCTVs are useless in preventing terror strikes (which was the main reason for installing them in the first place...)
they are mainly useful only after (touch wood!!!) terrorists have struck. it is then used to track down terrorists.
can there be better ways of really preventing terror? with technology coming of age, there could be better ways... like... scanners at faregates?
sounds wacko but i still feel its better off than CCTVs that are of good after a terror strike... -

1G- Testing In-train dynamic route map and refurbishment.
2G- CCTVs on trains.
3G- Normal activity. -
