Retrofitting of SMRT 1st Generation Trains

hey...has anyone who's taken this train have something like a timetable for it? not a detailed timetable but like a rough one...that is if the train runs at a regular timing everyday, of course.

the way trains are scheduled are such that the TRN is the same for the time slot but a different time uses the slot everyday. so there is no way u could get a fixed timetable for it.
today it's on TRN 072 and i'm uploading the pics now. -

Damn lucky! Didn't even have to camp...just went about my normal routine today and there the train was, waiting for me to board. The 17:39 train at Khatib Station. And 10mins before that I just saw tamago's photos here...
The train looks new, and is indeed refreshing...but disappointed there seems to be no provisions for future LED or LCDs, and the front run no was still the same flip board one, and the front of the train wasn't really remoulded or anything...and apart from the exterior the interior isn't really streamlined to match that for the 751B cars...sianz...
The announcements were very soft even though its a new sound system right...
Still, its a very good improvement, just that it could be better. -
Anyone has any idea about what time does this refurbished train usually run?
Early morning 7am?
I boarded the MRT train today from WDL to BSH, around 9 plus in the morning. Couldn't find this train at all!
All I got was a bunch of stinky unrefurbished C151 trains.

12 will come out each day and notwithstanding breakdowns in the depot in the afternoon, the same trains will come out in the morning and evening. so if u didn't see it this morning, dun bother trying this evening...

i see some NSL/EWL x-overs, which means they're based at ulu pandan. 081/082 is one of them.
i'm trying to classify TRN according to their depots, but it's hard to match a pattern out......
based on ur data, u camped during off-peak hours right? next time try peak hours. every train is out and with trains running every few mins, wun feel so sian.
i noe 04x are AMK to PSR crossovers. NSL peak hour trains shld be using 080 to 091.... -
oh yes, the motor sound is the same. forgot to check if they've overhauled the suspension below the floor board....

Since it's the school holidays and I won't be going out for quite some time as I don't have any business, I like to hear your experiences of that refurbished train (if you can get it), I'm interested in its performance in terms of sound system, noise environment, air-con system and most of all, the engine.
I think an aerodynamic head is better. Personally I think the interior is better than the 3G trains, SMRT should make the exterior & train engine same as 3G train standard. Then, this/these 1G trains can be like 4G?

tamago, have you ever seen a C651 train, its a test train on NSL from BSH depot.
I remember when I last saw it, its TRN was 988. -

in fact, if a TRN is 080 and it's off service on it's way back to depot, it's TRN becomes 980. -

anyway i took 4 hours la camped for 2 at BSH stn for NSL trains, got out at CTH, went in again and camped at Kallang another 2hrs... yeap it was off-peak.. they don have peaks on sundays wat...
during peak all 106 trains are out? i tot they'd keep some in.. or maybe those that have broken down? or temp servicing? -

i'm quite disappointed the retrofitted dont have the grey rail guard... the front of the retrofitted looks quite retarded without it... -

UN-refurbished C151 trains have a black colour metal plate at the last carriage of each train. The refurbished one has the builder plate removed. C151 is the 1G trains.
The 3G trains all got builder plate located at the last carriage. For 3G trains, Kawasaki builder plate is red colour, Nippon Sharyo builder plate is blue colour.
The 2G Siemens trains got no builder plate. -
