Oh ok. Track is like this currently:
where red dot = buffer and red/blue dot = incomplete.
Next time it will be like this (my guess based on current track findings):
where empty boxes = to be confirmed and red dot = buffer -
i always thought the system will be three seperate, non-continuous tracks between the 3 terminals, i.e. T1 to T2 (current), T2 to T3 (at the other end of T2) and T1 to T3 (at the other end of T1).

anyway all the tracks and sky bridges are already completed. Even the trains are also on the tracks already.
that time saw the T1 > T3 train parked halfway along the tracks..
for the current T1 <-> T2 service, i can see that the design is a bit unique.. theres 2 trains, one public, one transit, and they move together..

The T1<->T2 train is only temporary. Once the side track is done, it will be separated.

New train link on track to link Changi Airport Terminals 1, 2 and 3

SINGAPORE: A new train link to help passengers at Changi Airport move easily between Terminals 1, 2 and 3 is being built.
One of the distinct features is the link between Terminal 1 and 2 has four tracks, with one of the tracks inside a secure perimeter for passengers.
Costing $142m, the "People Mover" will link Terminals 1, 2 and 3 when it is finished.
As part of security measures, passengers and the public will travel on different trains on certain parts of the train system.
When the new train system opens, both passengers and people in transit will travel inside a secure area, while the general public will be travelling on another track outside the area.
"We have to take into consideration the different needs of the users of the airport like the public, the transit passengers. To make sure they can get from point A to point B efficiently, we have to develop a comprehensive system," said Chua Gim Phui, Engineer, Projects, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
One track is to go to Terminal 3, one could be used as an emergency or spare track, the other two would be for passenger and public use.
The CAAS expects the system to be completed next year and opened to the public when Terminal Three is completed in two years. - CNA /dt
