Bt Timah Line won't be built for now

Anyway I have suspected it wun be built, though ppl at Bukit Panjang wants it, the line running along Dist 10, dun think it would be good... All the train stations along the way is not making money

district 10/11 have lots of schools in the area as well? parents won't have to ferry their kids to school in future?
but then again, there're a number of buses that ply that area now.
actually i dun see the need to build that line and increase the overall operating cost of other lines. -
dun need mrt..just upgrade the 151/74/154 services to fully air con will do..
i have a feeling that ppl staying there all use car.. -

1) Bt Panjang <-> School
2) Bt Timah -> City
3) Bt Timah <-> NEL
However, there are already buses serving these areas and the only good part that i see about this line is the second option as schools in Bt Timah and Bt Timah itself doesnt have really good connection to the city(For areas like Marina Centre and Shenton Way) -
i think will be build but not for now. if u notice almost all tertiary education centres are linked by mrt. so i wont be surprise if it is build to benefits the ngee ann poly people.

NTU will have the Boon Lay LRT i think.

Really? Do you mean that the BTL will not be built in the future? If BTL is going to be built, it will be ready by 2025.

I thought LTA has recently, like last week, submitted a preliminary report to the MND?
Projected date of proposed BTL would be 2015 at least.The line would have no problems with ridership, if it was built as a medium rail system, say four carriages per train, on a smaller scale than the NEL. -

If BTL is built I forsee a major overhaul of northwest bus routes like 67 & 171.
