the unknown stations and lines linking to msia?

  NE2, NS6 and NS12......anybody noe when will these stations be build....i undertsand NS6 is in sungei kadut so probably not so soon.....but if for NE2, if dey can build woodleigh statiion n close it first to save cost, why not build NE2 also and do the same?..........
  
  and i got a map book showing a map of singapore in 2030.......dat map's edition is 1992 and it already shows many of the lines dat are being build today, like NS woodlands extension (considering dat map was published in 1996) NE line, even CCL......and dat book also show a possibility dat MRT lines may even venture into malaysia JB thru the woodlands causeway (not the KTM line).........anyone can tell me the possibility of dat happening?......
  
  and also, in the concept 21 plan, dere are plans for MRT to be linked to pulau tekong n pulau ubiin..........will dat be the "famous" north shore line?......becoz from the way it looks, it is going to be dat way........

  The possibility of the MRT line going into JB is next to nothing. From what I can recall, the SG govt plan is for all KTM trains to stop at Woodlands and henceforth, the passengers would transfer to the MRT. But that would mean the loss of the KTM land in Singapore, something which the MY govt is not prepared to do and with good reason. The Singapore route has the largest proportion in terms of passenger traffic and revenue due to the exchange rate.
  
  This issue is purely between the 2 governments so let's leave it at that. Anyway, it's good for railway fans that it didn't materialize. We can still enjoy the sight and sound of a locomotive chugging down the tracks with passenger or freight cars.

  if i never see the map wrongly... there is one more north south line going thru yio chu kang road, and one more inner circle line. Anything is possible. And since now no demand, so will not build first.

  Maybe there could be better connections to Tg Pagar Railway Stn like an underground tunnel from Tg Pagar MRT Station to the KTM station so that both sides stand to gain?

  - Bukit Timah Line
  - Downtown Extention
  - CCL

  i noe abt CCL, boonlay extension but i not too sure abt bukit timah n downtown extension......n i thought dere is another line called the eastern region line?......
  
  n den for boonlay extension hor wad i saw at the end of boonlay station is like a lot of flats closely together.....n the planned route is dat it is going to pass thru these estates....i wonder if the line is going to be built thru these estates?...n den wad i saw from the map dat the end station, joo koon station is like the surrounding are nt reallie so developed yet.....so anyone can tell me more abt dat?.........

  There is no point insisiting onto building more train lines to make MRT the backbone
  
  The consequences? More industrial accidents to come?
  
  The thing is, like the Bt Panjang Line that will cut thru Bt Timah, demand will be very low as many at Dist 10 owns cars except students studying there
  
  But, making transfers aft transfers, ppl would prefer buses

  There are only 2 trains daily. One southbound in the morning and one northbound in the evening. No trains on weekends and public holidays.

  May I ask a few qns:
  
  1) why only 2 trains/day?
  
  2) why no train on wkends and p/hs?

  Well, the shuttle service (65 DN and 68 UP) mainly targets Malaysians who work in Singapore. 65 DN departs from JB at 0600 while 68 UP departs from Singapore at 1850. Timing for 68 UP varies and I've seen the train depart as late as 1920 to gather as much passengers as possible. The load is moderate and I feel it could do better if it were to start/end a little further up, for eg. Kulai.

  Can i ask, if LTA were to build Sungei Kadut MRT station between Yew Tee and Kranji, where got space? In between is idustrail area. Only before u reach kranji (travelling northwards towards marina bay) got space. but if built there, isin't it too close to kranji already ??

  wad i noe is dat sugei kadut the industrial area i heard dat the area will be torned down like after 30 plus years den new estates n buildings will be built.....dat area is sooooo big lorh........can build dunnoe how many houses liao.........so maybe after 30 years ba den got MRT lor.........

  i dunnoe but i tink will be either relocated or there will be a big industrial building to hosue these factories together to save spaces.......right now those factories are juz single storey factories n dey take up quite an amount of space.......
