Too few escalators and staircases

sometimes i really wish that there are more escalators or at least wider staircases for stations like Orchard and Boon Lay where many passengers alight.
always see many people squeezing at the entrance of the escalators going up. -

suddenly u're stuck and u can't move cos ppl are standin in front of u, blocking ur way and ppl behind are comin down....
and u push ur way thru...
and ppl scold vulgarities at u for pushing them..
ok the vulgarities part is made up.. there's always a small space for me to squeeze thru =D -
i very standard one.. gg home(tampines).. at simei, i'll stand at 2nd carriage, 3rd door.. if no hurry, i'll wait lor.

imagine what will happen if the escalators broke down? i seen it before at boon lay, the staircase is just too narrow. the least they can do is to make it wider.

I feel that they should have larger or more lifts instead of more staircases and escalators due to the size of Singapore MRT Stations. -
The lifts are meant for elderly or disabled commuters. However, SMRT is taking a long time installing them. Till now, Bugis and City Hall are still not wheelchair accessible.

I think that a reminder is quite good enough for a start. If they dun listen, then maybe can try other ways. -

ah gong ah ma can talk escalator..
to be honest... i've only seen 1 wheel chair bound in trains before... and it's this year..
think most will take cab bah... -
i've seen 5 this year alone. bishan and paya lebar.. bishan each day abt 10 i think.
