Posting of MRT related pictures

Need to ask their permission first? Because today morning I took a train and saw something that caught my eyes. And I quickly took a pic. Wondering if I post it will I be sue?

By right should seek their permission first. but since you already photographed, I suggest keep it to yourself and don't post. There's a recent newspaper article from The Straits Times about NSmen photographing while in army and posted in their blogs, and were warned by MINDEF. MINDEF requires clearance from NSmen before being allowed to post any pictures about NS in the Net, because potential terrorists may be gathering such pictures from the Net and all these tiny bits of info may turn out to be advantageous for these terrorists!Originally posted by Manager433:Need to ask their permission first? IMO,as long as one uses it for hobbies and not intended for any harm; that's good enough. -

I would suggest you email the related MRT companies and ask for permission b4 posting in a PUBLIC forum. Cos if u end up in trouble, none of the mods can help u.

There is no law prohibiting taking of pictures in train stations in Singapore as far as many web discussions in other photography forums have thrown up.
But please exercise some common sense.If it's something that we all can see, it should be fine.If its something the public has no access to, then better get permission. -

OMG, i think it's not a small issue either. I think you shld inform the control station. I also take the Marsiling's MRT, but i didn't notice anything.
