Refurbished 1989 Kawasaki Trains

  While I was at City Hall MRT station yesterday, I saw a black train approaching the East West Line platform. At first I thought it was a 2000 kawasaki black train, but on closer look, it was actually a 1989 kawasaki train painted black! And the interior is the new kind, found on the new black trains. It is not in passenger service, with a "Test Train" label stuck on the windows and doors. In my opinion, this is great, as I really hate the old interiors.

  I prefer the interior of the 2000 kawasaki black trains than the old types. The one ones are really ugly(Especially the floor)

  Really Wow ! It is good that they refurbished their 1987, 1988 and 1989 trains. Really sick of the old design. By the way, have you note down the train's number ? Really want to catch that train.

  I did not notice the train number. But even if I did, you may not get to catch that train as it is under tests. So i guess we would just have to wait and see.

  Umm OK. Anyway, thanks for informing us about this. Really have to take it one day when it first launch.

  maybe in a year or two.
