Many times liao. Sometimes due to over crowding of trains in NS line, some trains are deverted into BSD then u-turn out again.Originally posted by Sagara:Got once the train was driven into the service station, the one just between AMK & Bishan Station.
The place was pitch dark and everybody was looking around lol
If I disclose those really unusual things then tomorrow I sure invited to somewhere else for tea.Originally posted by CAIX:All this may apply. But it is best to state unusual things.

MRT trains are actually computerised... esp wen stopping, closing of doors and accelerating back and also speed cruising... the driver's purpouse to see wether everything riteOriginally posted by PhyrePhox:Once I was on the train to Boon Lay. Didn't realise because I was reading, but next thing I knew, the train overshot Jurong East station (by about 1 1/2 cars) .. and every looked around puzzled.. About half a minute like that, the driver announced there was a "technical failure" and say that we will be skipping that stop.
So the passengers who is alighting / transfering at JE has to drop at Chinese Garden and switch.. I think under their breath, some must be cursing.
I'm wondering if it's really a technical failure or if the driver really missed.
Even if he miss stop, he can engage reverse and slowly reverse. But to do so, he would severely affect train schedules, which are extremely accurate. So he'd rather move on to the next station so that the train schedules arent disruptedOriginally posted by PhyrePhox:Once I was on the train to Boon Lay.
