HK express DOES not skip any of the stations. it is a different line running parallel with another normal MTR line. if i didnt remember wrongly, the Airport have 2 stations in the city area and another 2 outside the City.Originally posted by disappear:i think the hk airport express skips stations. but is it that the express line has tracks/trains and station platforms of its own, with the track running parallel to normal line?
In other countries Yes.. possible. due to the fact that their subway system is much more complicated than ours and they have More tracks as compared to singapore where we only have 2 tracks. from what i feel... singapore's Subway system is just nice..Originally posted by SBS9889U:What about having trains that stop only at certain stops for faster connection?
wat u mean 2? and it's Fucking expensive!!!Originally posted by disappear:i think the hk airport express skips stations. but is it that the express line has tracks/trains and station platforms of its own, with the track running parallel to normal line?
nahh..in a train system with express trains..the normal trains gotta give way to the express ones..it is highly unlikely that an express one has to slow down for a normal one..that is why numerous track sidings must be built in order for normal trains to provide passage for the express trains..which will most probably cost a bomb and take years to finish..Originally posted by ditzy:Then the train in front how? Train behind how? The express train got to slow down for the train in front, and cannot be too fast for the tain behind, otherwise lag. And the tracks, currently one line for most, got to dual it. Costs for implementation will be passed down. So how?
2 stations in the city area(Hong Kong & Kowloon), one station in residential area(new town)(Tsing Yi Station)and another one outside the City, that is Airport.Originally posted by sBs_boy:HK express DOES not skip any of the stations. it is a different line running parallel with another normal MTR line. if i didnt remember wrongly, the Airport have 2 stations in the city area and another 2 outside the City.

That's what train on KTM doesOriginally posted by Mr_Bussie:Will it Kill by stopping for a few secs.. ??
What is the frequency?Originally posted by sbst275:That's what train on KTM does
As it is single track, not double
That means the train from KL to SG and SG to KL share the same track
Every 2-3 hrs 1 train...Originally posted by SBS9889U:What is the frequency?
