i thought the KTM line is to be removed? woodlands mrt station has been up since 1996 and it is now 2005.

Sad to say, when BTL is being built, much of the tree canopies along Bukit Timah Rd and Dunearn Rd will be gone.
Land wise, I personally believed that BTL would be fully underground, running directly under the Bukit Timah Canal. KTM bridge at King Albert Park and Rail Mall, is too high for LTA to build a bridge across them, in addition, there are residence around the area too, wouldn't the residents mind their privacy? And what about crossing over Clementi Rd flyover and PIE flyover? The BTL elevated track must be at least 9 to 10 storeys high to overcome them. Bukit Timah Plaza by then will be "locked" by bridges.
