Maybe you are used to it and won't feel anything when taking the LRTOriginally posted by Volvo Olympian:Nah..i dun feel anything when taking BPLRT
You know why it is scary ? because some parts of the track will gooes up and down and making sharp turns at high speed, thats why is scary... and thrilling too! If the train won't fall off the track , then thats ok.Originally posted by disappear:Agree!
when i took the BPLRT the journey was sometimes feels scary! while sengkang lrt feels v comfortable even if the train moves much faster than BP LRT train at times...
one of the reason why is scary is becos there is no safety railing/barrier at the sides of the track, unlike the sengkang/punggol tracks. the absence of those psychologically give the feel that it is dangerous and the train might fall offOriginally posted by CAIX:You know why it is scary ? because some parts of the track will gooes up and down and making sharp turns at high speed, thats why is scary... and thrilling too! But i nvr fear anything during the newly introduced..i just only wondering why no driver...and aft that i noe its computerOriginally posted by muziq bus:once you get used to it, den u will not feel anything...
Like me n Volvo O, we are very used to it...so we are very numb to the fear that the rest (who are not seasoned) feels....my first few rides, i encountered da same fear...but now, its okay
Actually,i knows that it can't be possible that the train would drop off, but rember the time b4 they fine tuned and upgraded the system, there were a notoriously large number of glitches including delays and accidents, so this actually make me lost confidence and hav question about its safety and so begins to think----what if it REALLY 'derail' and falls off? of course i would say this worry was unfounded, but just couldnt help thinking.Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:But i nvr fear anything during the newly introduced..i just only wondering why no driver...and aft that i noe its computer
I went to Sentosa recently...n ya da viaducts are up......da station is still not really constructed yet....but i am sure will finish in timeOriginally posted by disappear:About the Sentosa Monorail LRT, went to HarbourFront during wkend and saw the part along the Gateway Ave Bridge, the monorail viaduct are up already............
wondering if they can finished before schedule and opened earlier....after all LRT/monorail is easier to built if compared to MRT
i think the only impt use of the new monorail is to link harbourfront to sentosa across gateway ave bridgeOriginally posted by SBS9889U:I agree too. The old one serves almost the whole Sentosa, this new one is almost useless, just make Sentosa look nicer.
Quite difficult... As esp @ overlapping near there...Originally posted by disappear:i think the only impt use of the new monorail is to link harbourfront to sentosa across gateway ave bridge
it would have been nice if they had let the old monorail coexist with the new one
Difficult.. 1 direction nia..Originally posted by SBS9889U:Simple: Harbourfront to setosa, then ply the monorail route, then back to Harbourfront.
Actually, no need to serve HarbourFront. Just Upgrade the whole mornorail and change the car to the air-con type of cars. I like the past Sentosa, got ferry to serve passangers from HarbourFront to Sentosa within 2 minutes.Originally posted by disappear:i think the only impt use of the new monorail is to link harbourfront to sentosa across gateway ave bridge

If thats the case, we need two directions, like the MRT. I would love to have that.Originally posted by SBS9889U:Simple: Harbourfront to setosa, then ply the monorail route, then back to Harbourfront.
haha ! good idea. But no space at sentosa. Underground maybe.Originally posted by disappear:if they had extend the MRT line to sentosa, then getting there would hav been even more convenient
yea, it probably have to be underground. dont think they would like to let it come out of the ground right after Harbourfront just to cross the sea to sentosa...the only thing about underground is can't see the scenary, but continuing the MRT for one station to reach there would be very convenient and would definitely bring more pple there.Originally posted by CAIX:haha ! good idea. dont know, they say actual schedule of when would depend on state of economy, availability of funding and how fast they can complete the technical studies. but i hope they could complete these lines within 10 to 15 yrs.Originally posted by CAIX:OK, back to the topic, will Jurong LRT line be build ?
