could it be one of the stations in the punggol north lrt which is not yet built yet?Originally posted by muziq bus:Before the Punggol West LRT was completed, there was a station planned to be named SENTUL LRT STATION...i remebered lookng at the map somewhere... which station izzit now?
I wouldn't agree on dat name anyway, its just an old malay name....reminds me of a malay comedian.
Originally posted by muziq bus:Why not? Sentul is synonymous with trains because Sentul, located just outside of KL, is where the KTMB Works is located. An LRT station called Sentul is there too.

Operate and owned by Sentosa...Originally posted by SBS9889U:Who will be the operator of Sentosa LRT?
Actual : Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC)Originally posted by sBs_boy:Operate and owned by Sentosa...
I thought it would be SBS Transit. Is SBS Transit operating any other MRT/LRT lines(as to date).Originally posted by sBs_boy:Operate and owned by Sentosa...
Sentosa LRT is diff from other LRT, it is monorail type of train..got driver..think not under LTA one............Originally posted by SBS9889U:I thought it would be SBS Transit. Is SBS Transit operating any other MRT/LRT lines(as to date).
Circle Line and North East Line is operated by SBS Transit, not SMRT.Originally posted by disappear:Sentosa LRT is diff from other LRT, it is monorail type of train..got driver..think not under LTA one............
SBS Transit is NEL, and the Sengkang and Punggol LRT
whole circle line is smrt
Last time they say if SMRT take NEL, then future line will prob give everything to SMRT, but now SBStransit is still holding on, so dunno if future lines, e.g. Bukit Timah line, SBSTransit will get to bid and run some of the lines also as well?? there will lots of lines in future.
Nope... CCL is SMRTOriginally posted by CAIX:Circle Line and North East Line is operated by SBS Transit, not SMRT.
The ALSTOM website - http://www.transport.alstom.com/home/Products_and_Services/TURNKEY_SYSTEMS/Urban_turnkey/10963.EN.php?languageId=EN&dir=/home/Products_and_Services/TURNKEY_SYSTEMS/Urban_turnkey/&docLink=7628Originally posted by sbst275:Nope... CCL is SMRT
Huh ? But I didn't know anything about the CCL line to be run by SMRT.Originally posted by disappear:The whole CCL is to be run by SMRT.
The train is the same(Alstom), however it is has 3 cars not 6. the CCL Alstom train uses third rail unlike NEL who use overhead. The pictures of the circle line black train in the website are cool

More towards the ridership I think..Originally posted by SBS9889U:Why must CCL use 3 carriage trains? Is it because some parts of the line cannot have more than 3 carriages?
Yes, why must they use ONLY 3 carriage ? that means less capacity.Originally posted by SBS9889U:Why must CCL use 3 carriage trains? Is it because some parts of the line cannot have more than 3 carriages?
Less..Originally posted by CAIX:Yes, why must they use ONLY 3 carriage ? that means less capacity.
Oh my! CCL under SMRT. Then the rail and bus network will be more complicated. Why only let SBS Transit to operate NEL.Originally posted by tranquilice:
This question you have to ask LTA. It is the authority appointing the rail operator.Originally posted by CAIX:One question - Why SBS Transit failed to operate the CCL ?
