AMK quite near to Bishan, and HG quite near to Serangoon, sounds a bit duplicating with CCL.Originally posted by disappear:link Ang Mo Kio to Hougang via LRT. then AMK to Hougang i think will 10 min only
AMK is one station from Bishan, Hougang is 2 station away from Serangoon, i think there is some differenceOriginally posted by PJ_Quek:AMK quite near to Bishan, and HG quite near to Serangoon, sounds a bit duplicating with CCL.
I believed if there's LRT or MRT link between AMK and HG, 165, 88, 72, 159, 132, 74 and 25 will be affected.
for people at Yishun/punggol who wanna to go to Pasir ris, North Shore Line is better than Circle line, but since there are those TPE buses like 858,969 etc, maybe North Shore Line is not really needed now.Originally posted by F Takumi:The Circle Line will do the job.
The map of the proposed North Shore Line shows that it connects Simpang, Seletar as well as the Changi Village and the distant future Changi Coastal Town....Originally posted by disappear:for people at Yishun/punggol who wanna to go to Pasir ris, North Shore Line is better than Circle line, but since there are those TPE buses like 858,969 etc, maybe North Shore Line is not really needed now.
Wow, a long way to go ! The future MRT system will also connect to offshore island such as... Pulau Ubin, Pulau Tekong, Jurong Island...Originally posted by muziq bus:The map of the proposed North Shore Line shows that it connects Simpang, Seletar as well as the Changi Village and the distant future Changi Coastal Town....
40 - 50 years time...as mentioned in The Singapore Concept Plan 2001
the seletar line is the one in between the NSL and the NEL, passing by Lor Chuan and Serangoon Garden(?) and Serangoon North, right?Originally posted by medicheng:i think i saw more than this.... even a seletar line towards town and part of north shore line.
yep i saw this line... i was amaze.... and another one from woodlands pass by SLE, amk ave 4, thomson to town.... total of 4 linesOriginally posted by disappear:the seletar line is the one in between the NSL and the NEL, passing by Lor Chuan and Serangoon Garden(?) and Serangoon North, right?
yea i think the woodlands one got pass near Nee Soon Camp area.......and also reach Upp Thomson Road(b4 interchanging with Marymount), so it may even has chance of stopping at or near thomson plaza too? but all these will only in distant future.....too long to wait........ now, i is already happy with Marymount Station as it is conveniently near Thomson Plaza, can take almost any bus along that road to reach...since moving away from bishan, thomson plaza has become so inaccessible and i had always liked to go there....Originally posted by medicheng:yep i saw this line... i was amaze.... and another one from woodlands pass by SLE, amk ave 4, thomson to town.... total of 4 lines
Yes. Now the government is crazy about MRT , just joking. Actually our future rail network (those who have the Longman Atlas can refer there) will be more than 15 lines + about 6 LRT system.Originally posted by SBS9889U:Hopefully, there could be more LRT lines instead of MRT lines as LRTs may be more essential to towns where buses are not very easily reachable.
