Congrats on a new MRT forums!
Lets get the ball rolling... Does anyone know the standards that are followed locally? We seem to use a simplified version of signalling systems that the British is using (Red/White aspects, no yellow).
Some trivia... SMRT uses the "standard" track gauge of 1435mm. There is a crossover just before Bugis station. Its the only crossover before the interchanges. -

What I meant was that there are no crossovers at the Interchanges sector. There is a single crossover between braddell and Toa Payoh station and between Redhill and Queenstown Station.

When reaching the end station (Boon lay, Jurong East, Pasir Ris & Marina Bay) , sometimes the train will move to another track because it is the last station. -

Woodlands got extra platform?

There isn't a third platform at Woodlands station, but there is a additional track in the middle between Woodlands station and Marsiling station, nearer to Woodlands station.Originally posted by iveco:Woodlands got extra platform? Why didn't I notice it? -
At that juncture, the tracks are banked. Sometimes, the incoming train will stop here to let the other train pass and you'll get that 'going to topple' feeling. Most often the train will come to an abrupt halt, jolting and tossing the passengers.
