Awesome.
Especially after watching The Last Emperor, you realize that you're walking in the
palace, a place that was once forbidden to commonfolk, a place where the grand (and almost legendary) royalty of China once spent their lives, once sat around, once touched.. and you're doing the same thing as those people who lived hundreds of years ago! It's like, wow, I'm now touching the same spot Qianlong sat.
Something that previously appeared to be so out of reach suddenly became a reality right before your eyes.
But my dad had to piggyback me because the place was so huge my legs ached from walking.
I heard now there's Starbucks in the Forbidden City.
