The purpose of the show is MAKE MORE MONEY for the TV station instead of making stars out of normal un-impressive Ah Lians and Ah Bengs.
So, it is weird that singaporean can be so silly to volunteer themselves to be ridiculed after queueing for so long under the hot sun.

I dont think that those singing competition in singapore can produce good singers. Cos they depend more on the votes they got and not their ability. Back at the competition, i wanted Silver to be out but she end up being the top4
If they REALLY want to produce singer, they should depend more on the judges and not viewers.
Eason Chan is also from competition but his shi li made him to where he is now in his career not those votes.
I rather trust those singers being discovered from music sch or music producers.
